Psalm Thirty Six

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD.
no fear of God. This striking phrase is quoted by Paul in Romans 3:18, climaxing the list of ungodly beliefs and practices of the pagan world.
Psalm 36:2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.
Psalm 36:5 Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
Psalm 36:9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
fountain of life. The origin of life is to be found only in the living God, not in an imaginary primeval soup. There is no geological or meteorological evidence that the composition of the original ocean was any different from that of the present ocean.
thy light. True light on the nature and meaning of life can be found only through Christ and His Word.
Psalm 36:11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.
