Psalm 117:1 O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.

Psalm 117:2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.

great. This word is the same as “prevailed” in the account of the waters of the great Flood prevailing over the whole earth.

endureth for ever. It is appropriate here in this psalm, which is both the central chapter and the shortest chapter in the Bible, to emphasize again the great truth that God's Word is eternal.
