The twenty-one appendices in this Defender's Study Bible have been included in hopes that they will be of assistance in defending and propagating Biblical Christianity, both in evangelizing those outside of Christ and strengthening the faith and understanding of Christian believers. The Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, authoritative, perspicuous, written Word of God, and needs to be accepted and understood as such. The annotations included with the Biblical text have also been written with the same purpose. In the Spirit-inspired words of the Apostle Paul: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. I charge thee, therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom; Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine” (2 Timothy 3:16-4:2).
